01Overview
Understanding the whole picture
Joint pain and stiffness can make simple tasks harder. Some causes are mechanical, while others, such as rheumatoid arthritis, are inflammatory and need specialist monitoring.
Consultations focus on comfort, mobility and overall wellbeing, and are planned around any treatment from your rheumatologist or orthopaedic doctor.

04First visit
What to bring
Reports help make the most of your first consultation. If you don't have them, come anyway: we will advise which tests are useful.
- RA factor, anti-CCP, ESR / CRP
- Uric acid, vitamin D and B12
- X-rays of affected joints
- Your current medicines (including DMARDs or steroids)
Important
When to see a specialist or seek urgent care
- A single hot, red, very swollen joint with fever: needs urgent care
- Inability to bear weight after an injury
- Rheumatoid arthritis: continue the treatment your rheumatologist prescribes
- Rapid loss of joint movement or new deformity
In an emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital. Homeopathic consultations do not replace emergency or specialist care.
